Our music curriculum, following the Model Music Curriculum (MMC) and Charanga scheme, builds musical skills and fosters a love for music. Pupils engage in singing, playing instruments, improvising, composing, and performing. The bespoke EYFS curriculum, using the Voices Foundation approach, nurtures listening, participation, and rhythmic skills. Music also connects with other curriculum areas: PSHE to promote emotional expression and teamwork, and RE to enrich spiritual experiences through collective worship. Wider opportunities, such as choir, peripatetic lessons (brass, guitar, keyboard), and public performances, enhance pupils' musical journeys.
